Life is Art

For example, my table setting when I host our guests at home.

I create the space with my free imagination,
Inspired by the seasonal flowers,
and the atmosphere of the guests.

Without being bound by square rules of
how things should be,
I am true to my intuitions and senses,
with playfulness,
I create my art with a pure heart.

Then, I see fun miracles happen, such as
guests bringing the flowers that are exactly same colors
as my table coordination,
or guests wearing the same colors as the flowers
I have prepared.

Life is filled with art,
Even though we don’t draw art or carve sculpture.
Art dwells whenever and wherever we live life.

Pieces of pictures that I would draw
with fascination in my childhood,
number of snap shots from fashion magazines
that I would look at during classes at high school,
colorful stones and fabrics
that I found in different places in the world…
